I do a lot of business networking and something which is extremely helpful is how seeing people time and again helps you remember they are there when you need them.
Social media can be an extremely helpful tool to make sure you are remembered – particularly at times like we are in where we cannot see each other face-to-face!
Don’t Get Forgotten
I was recently in a meeting with a new client where we were talking about how their business had changed over the past 12 months and they commented that since they had moved to remote working, changed how they worked and stopped posting on social media, a number of people were not sure if they were still trading!
Posting on social media will not only make sure you do not get forgotten but help your contacts become even more familiar with the types of service you offer. Simply put, don’t let your valuable connections forget about you!
Post Regularly
This is easy to let slip when we get busy, but the odd post every now and again just doesn’t cut it. Sorry, but it just doesn’t!
It’s so very important to post regularly and by regularly, I don’t mean necessarily every day, but certainly a couple of times a week. Consistently and not just when you ‘get the time’.
Something Is Better Than Nothing
A question I often get asked is ‘but I don’t have anything interesting to post’. I’m sorry, but that’s just not correct! You definitely do and you need to just get a bit creative!
In addition, whilst we all like nicely designed content, something simple will certainly work just as well.
I’m a bit of a ‘back of a fag packet’ guy, but if you’re not posting then you just need to get on and do it. Remember that posting SOMETHING is better than NOTHING!
I hope you found this helpful. If you have any burning questions, you are very welcome to drop me an email at nathanbrown@robusmarketing.com and I’ll be more than happy to help.
