You may have read articles about thriving rather than just surviving during this COVID-19 lockdown and now it has been extended you are wondering whether it is possible for your to thrive. Maybe even simply just surviving is proving a challenge!
Today’s question is whether you can actually still make sales during this period and on the whole this question rests on two things.
- Whether you can pivot in order to adapt to your customer’s new needs
- Whether you are able to run a viable business in the current climate
As an agency, we have actually seen an increase in the number of enquiries and new customers over the past month. To some degree, this has come as a bit of an unexpected surprise!
However, in some way, we think it demonstrates that companies are now correctly thinking about their future marketing and putting plans in place to prepare for it as well as catching up on some of those jobs that they have been meaning to get around to for a little while.
What do we mean by thriving? Because thriving can look a little different to before the lockdown began!
The litmus test for whether you are thriving in the current climate (even if you fall under category two above) covers the following three points:
- Are you selling more than your direct competitor?
- Is your brand stronger / being built more than your direct competitor?
- Are you making future plans to rapidly take ground as soon as you can?
If you are able to put a tick next to at least two of these, then the likelihood is you are well on your way!
If you cannot, then now is probably as best a time as ever to start thinking about the steps you could take to achieve this. Time for a pen and a pad maybe!
